Dado Valentic
Dado began his career in 1996 as an Engineer working along side the Research & Development unit at Sony Professional Europe.
Building on this experience, he then went on to work with various post-production facilities on top-rating UK film & TV productions, including Harry Potter and East Enders. During this time Dado was able to discover his talent for colour grading, as well as gain a true insight into digital image processing technologies.
In 2002 Dado experienced two milestone achievements; heading-up one of the UK’s first HD finishing suites and, his first BAFTA nomination.
With the introduction of new digital software and hardware-enabled colour grading systems, Dado identified an opportunity to set up a facility to service the increased demand for high quality colour grading - Mytherapy.
Within the domain of Mytherapy, Dado had the freedom to push the limits for creative engineering of colour grading techniques.
As the popularity of digital film cameras increased, Dado worked closely with camera manufacturers over the development of RAW data processing techniques and before long, Mytherapy was rewarded the reputation as the go-to place for unique and highly creative Digital Camera grading. A number of feature and commercial jobs followed including; Sherlock Holmes, Mr Nice, Kylie, Coca Cola, T-Mobile, Orange, Nestle, Speedo and many more.
In 2009 Dado achieved his second BAFTA nomination and was approached by British Society of Cinematographers to grade Digital Camera Tests.
Since 2008 Dado has worked alongside some of the industries’ most reputable names on several high achieving productions, including such titles as; Don Quixote in 3D and Carmen in 3D, documentaries Flying with monsters with David Attenborough and Bugs! In 3D, commercials for Panasonic, Royal Mail, Nintendo and Red Bull.
Dado is currently one of the most experienced stereoscopic 3D colourists in the UK
