Lorne Miess
Lorne has been involved in the North American film and television industries for over 25 years. He started out in Toronto working on various projects including Sonny Grosso’s Night Heat and is constantly keeping up with future technologies.
Lorne recently attended Reducation in Los Angles to upgrade his knowledge and skills with the Red camera, its applications and workflows. His focus is to be on the leading edge of color correction services for the independent film community specializing in, but not exclusive to the Red workflow.
Before going freelance, Lorne was with Insight Film Studios as their Senior Colorist overseeing the daily color grading of the studios Features, Mows and Episodics. Through these years he has worked on Autodesk’s Lustre, Scratch and Apple Color He is an Apple Certified Trainer and has also graded on Final Cut Pro.
When not working on color correction projects, Lorne is busy in the local Vancouver film community doing seminars at local universities, colleges and film schools.
