RG201: Advanced Resolve Techniques in Two Days

“This class is ideal for Resolve colorists with at least a year of experience, or students who have taken a previous iColorist class or an online course like my fxphd Bootcamp. We cover advanced techniques using the latest Resolve software. It is focused on students who are grading content for feature films, commercials, documentaries, reality TV, and social media — basically anyone wanting to improve their grading capabilities.

We will use a variety of different media formats and emphasize techniques for grading sequences rather than individual clips. We use media from a variety of popular professional cameras, and the material is realistic — not always beautifully shot and very much like the footage and challenges we face every day as colorists.

This iColorist workshop is normally capped at six people with each student getting a media download link five days before the class starts. I encourage students to share their own material so they can get individual feedback.

This class is designed around a number of short sequences. We will work through the timelines from start to finish considering the best strategies to get the job finished efficiently. You keep all the media we use in the class, including the lessons, projects, and screen recordings so you can continue learning long after the class has finished.”
